This week, the representative of Souspilnist Foundation, Yelyzaveta Komarova, along with colleagues, began work as part of an educational visit to Stockholm under the ITP program “Media Development in a Democratic Framework in the New Digital Era.”
With Sweden as an example, the Ukrainian expert team is seeking effective ways to improve media work, including examining Swedish legislation, media self- and co-regulation, the ombudsman role, and communication through META.
In one of the largest Scandinavian media groups, Schibsted, Ukrainian and Swedish professionals discussed the “hot” challenges for newsrooms, how to combat disinformation, and how to continue improving their work.
Participants visited the Swedish Parliament and spoke with representatives of various parties, asked questions, and heard words of support for Ukraine.
Ahead lies another week of productive work. There is already valuable experience to share with our listeners through media expertise programs, the Souspilnist Academy, and mental support for journalists.
