Journalists continue to work in places where conditions are difficult and dangerous, yet where it is especially important to be present alongside people and events. That is why safety during field assignments remains critically important.
In April, 31 applications were submitted to the International Fund for Journalists’ Insurance, 30 of which were approved. Insurance coverage was provided to 16 journalists from 6 regions for a total of 52 insured days.
