On July 25, the 17th Hub participants visited the office of the Servant of the People party. The program participants attended a briefing by Oleksandr Korniyenko, head of the Party, and met with Yevheniia Kravchuk, MP and deputy head of the Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy.
The discussion included the media law, why and what the legislative changes address, what the document envisages, how regulatory mechanisms will work, what journalists and bloggers should expect and whether it will be allowed to criticize the authorities.
The conversation touched on politics. Specifically, the Media Mobility Hub participants asked questions about the Servant of the People’s local election strategy, Kyiv mayor primaries, the Party’s position on participating in the programs aired by the so-called Medvedchuk pool channels and whether there are restrictions with respect to content on MPs’ personal pages.
It was an informal but detailed conversation.
