Take advantage of the Mental Support for Media program opportunities in August. Free counseling support is primarily provided to newsrooms and individual journalists working in combat zones and locations close to the front lines.
The core of the program is our developed and tested model of comprehensive support for newsrooms, which includes four components: – assessment; – training; – individual consultations; – and journalist recovery activities. You can apply for free support on the program’s website: support4media.com.
How effective is this kind of support? 100% positive feedback regarding interactions with the MSM program psychotherapists — this is the subjective evaluation of those journalists who completed the final survey. Additionally: 79% of journalists experienced a reduction in burnout levels, 85% of journalists saw a reduction in excessive anxiety levels, 95% reported reduced depression symptoms.
We are also happy to share with you the results for July within the framework of the Mental Support for Media program. In the past month, we have:
- Conducted 127 hours of individual consultations.
- Held 2 recovery events for journalists from Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kyiv, and other cities.
- Organized a coordination and recovery meeting with our team of mental health specialists to make the support even better and broader.
- Conducted 2 webinars on important topics of interaction, support, and recovery;
- Launched the process of improving technical support to ensure interactions are always convenient and comfortable.
The Souspilnist Foundation in collaboration with the BrainCult Mental Health Center, within the framework of the “Media Program, Internews in Ukraine,” implemented by the international organization Internews.
