Those who give us strength!

In January, commemorative events will be held in honor of Maksym “Dali” Kryvtsov.

He was a photographer, poet, and warrior. He loved life and dreamed of creating. But the war destroyed all his plans. On January 7, 2024, Maksym died in battle in the Kharkiv region while defending his homeland.

On the anniversary of “Dali’s” death, his family and friends will organize commemorative events in more than 10 cities across Ukraine, according to colleagues from the Maksym Kryvtsov Charity Foundation. Throughout January, everyone is invited to join tours of significant places in Rivne connected with Maksym, attend readings from the collection “Poems from the Embrasure,” and visit exhibitions featuring photographs and personal belongings.

Follow the Maksym Kryvtsov Charity Foundation page for more details about the planned events. You are also invited to participate in the “Dali Bude [Dali Will Continue]” poetry flash mob from January 7 to 22. Share your favorite Maksym Kryvtsov poems on social media. Maksym loved hearing his poetry in different formats, so read for him and yourself.

In early January 2024, the publishing house Nash Format released the book “On the Minefield of Memory.” It includes Maksym Kryvtsov’s diary entries, stories, and poems, compiled by his friend and comrade-in-arms Valerii Puzik. The book is available for purchase on the Nash Format website and later in bookstores.

“Dali’s creative legacy allows us to touch his soul—pure, kind, and luminous. It lets us see the world as Maksym saw it. For some, these events will be an introduction to the poet-volunteer; for others, inspiration through favorite poems; and for many, a gathering of like-minded people to find comfort together,” says Hanna Morozova, Director of the Maksym Kryvtsov Charity Foundation.

During the events, attendees can receive merchandise featuring Dali’s quotes, photographs, and drawings for a voluntary donation. Proceeds will go toward preserving Maksym Kryvtsov’s memory through the foundation established by his family and friends.
