Our MIL ambassadors, Yelyzaveta Kholiavko and Alexander Matyushenko, once again brought Mykolaiv residents together around the topic of media literacy.
This time, the keynote speaker was Oleksandr Hryshchenko, Associate Professor at the Department of Journalism and Philology of the Mykolaiv College of the Philip Orlyk University.
He presented a unique critical thinking program with practical tools, covering:
– the role of information in a digitalized world
– tools for content creation and distribution
– the dangers of unchecked information that floods our feeds every day
One of the liveliest discussions focused on fake news and protecting ourselves from media manipulation—it was engaging, hands-on, and highly relevant!
We sincerely thank Oleksandr Hryshchenko for a dynamic and insightful media literacy lecture, and each participant for their energy and engagement. Special thanks as well to the Mykolaiv Youth Council for their support and organization of the event.
