Radio is more than sound. It’s memory, voice, and support in moments that matter. The Souspilnist Foundation is launching the “100 Years of Resilience” contest—your stories connected to Ukrainian Radio!
Think back to the most vivid radio moment in your life—maybe it was a voice from childhood you’ll never forget, a phrase that gave you hope, or a day when radio was your only link to the world. Write a short story about it and send it to us at souspilnistfoundation@gmail.com by September 25, 2025.
A selection panel will choose the three best stories. The winners will receive a special gift: the book “Ukrainian Radio: A Century of Turbulent History”—signed by the authors.
This became possible thanks to the book’s presentation by Vadym Misky, Secretary of the Supervisory Board of Suspilne Ukraine, at the Wartime Media Challenges 2025: Resilience forum.
The book features unique archival photos, dozens of interviews with journalists, editors, and media managers, and stories of radio’s transformation—from tube microphones to the digital era, from the first studio to broadcasting during the full-scale war. Please send your submissions with the subject line: “Ukrainian Radio in My Life.”
Let’s support quality media—with our attention!
