Sometimes the most important support is the kind we can give ourselves. In a world of constant deadlines, news, and pressure, journalists get used to being demanding of themselves. The inner critic pushes you forward, urging you to do more, better, faster. But in the long run, that’s not about strength it’s about burnout. What if there were another way?
We invite you to try an approach that makes room not only for professional skills, but also for self-care where criticism is replaced with support, and exhaustion gives way to recovery.
Join us for a warm gathering Mental Health Evening for Media where you will:
• learn why the “inner critic” can get in the way of your professionalism;
• explore practices of mindful self-compassion;
• in a circle of peers, reconnect with your own inner spark—one that can support your forward movement in a healthier, kinder way.
