We invite you to the first evening of critical thinking with Oleksiy Erinchak!

Fake news, false reports, manipulation. How can we find the truth in the overwhelming flow of information? How should we react when you see emotional and sensational headlines? What should we do when there’s just too much information?

We will discuss this during our Critical Thinking Evenings with Ukrainian thought leaders. Our first guest will be Oleksiy Erinchak, the founder of the bookstore “Sens” and a volunteer.

At the event, we will learn about the following:

– The meaning behind opening the Ukrainian bookstore “Sens” during the war;

– Which books are essential not only for media professionals and journalists but also for young people in general;

– Should bookstores become centers of critical thinking culture in Ukraine?

– How not to fall for Russian disinformation;

– Why everyone needs a “digital detox” from time to time.

Oleksiy will share simple but effective rules of information hygiene that help him in everyday life.

 You can register for the event via the link https://forms.gle/5rRSP9EhcVcERYBh8

We look forward to seeing you on October 8, 5:00 PM. The event’s address will be sent to your email after registration. Take care and keep a cool head!

The project is designed and implemented by the NGO Souspilnist Foundation in collaboration with UNESCO Ukraine and with the support of the people of Japan. The project is part of UNESCO’s broader efforts to support journalist safety and freedom of expression in Ukraine.
