After a short break, we are relaunching the insurance program for journalists, camera operators, fixers, and editors working in high-risk areas.
This program has already proven its effectiveness — thanks to it, dozens of Ukrainian journalists have received real protection while reporting from dangerous zones.
Now with improved conditions:
— No limits on the number of days or team members
— Insurance coverage of up to $100,000
— 24/7 support and consultations from program coordinators
The initiative is part of the Voices of Ukraine program, coordinated by the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom (ECPMF). Voices of Ukraine is implemented within the Hannah Arendt Initiative and funded by the German Federal Foreign Office.

Safety is not optional — it’s essential.
Let’s work together to keep Ukrainian journalism strong, resilient, and protected
The International Journalists’ Insurance Fund (IJIF) is an initiative of six civil society organizations — the Association of Independent Regional Publishers of Ukraine (AIRPU), the Souspilnist Foundation, the Institute of Mass Information (IMI), Detector Media, the Centre for Democracy and Rule of Law, and the Institute for Regional Press Development (IRRP) — whose mission is to help ensure that media professionals remain protected while producing news, reports, and stories during wartime.
