Fifteen participants of the 17th session of the Media Mobility Hub have come to Kyiv to do internships at the best media newsrooms.
In the course of two weeks, the graduate students of Bachelor’s and Master’s programs from the journalism schools across Ukraine will take an intensive practical course in creating information products for convergent newsrooms, radio, TV, social networks, as well as learn about the theoretical aspects of work of a present-day convergent journalist.
On the first internship day on July 14, three journalists – NV Radio host Dmytro Tuzov, Radio Liberty journalist Oksana Dumska, and Channel 5 journalist Myroslava Tanska – met with the participants. They spoke about the work in the Kyiv-based media and provided advice on how to get the most from the internships.
The 17th Media Mobility Hub was to start on April 1 but it was rescheduled due to the covid-19 pandemic. However, the Hub participants did journalistic case studies for three months during their Zoom training workshops.
This journalism internship is made possible with the support of USAID Media Program in Ukraine implemented by Internews, and with the help of private patrons.
