On January 29, intensive online training took place at the Media Management School, organized by Souspilnist Foundation, with the support of Internews Ukraine and Detector Media.
More than 70 journalists from across Ukraine received training, and already today, on February 12, the participants presented the ideas for their own media projects: YouTube channels, online media and radio.
The Souspilnist Foundation team offered guiding questions, sound criticism and advice to help the media specialists clearly outline their projects’ specifications: target audience, ways of promoting and monetizing their products, uniqueness of their ideas. The experts also shared their knowledge on how to write projects.
“I’d try and write any projects using an elevator speech format. It’s about being able to say everything about your idea in one or three minutes tops, so people understand it,” Andriy Sydorenko, head of CareYou program advised.
“You should have a good understanding how much money you need for the project. You should have a budget for a certain period of time, and you should be able to provide a reasonable answer to the question about how much this or that work will cost – it’s extremely important,” Olena Shakhova, head of educational programs emphasized.
The participants of the Media Management Schools will continue working on creating their own media projects with the support of the Souspilnist Foundation team.
