On January 27, an expert round table will take place – Broken identity: What is a journalist today?
The event is initiated by Souspilnist Foundation and Development Center Democracy through Culture in partnership with the Independent Media Council.
The event aims at providing expert analysis of media initiatives and key draft laws by the government, discussing proposed novelties with regard to current understanding of journalism, journalistic competencies, mission, standards, and social role, as well as ways of communication and self-regulation.
Among the invited to the round table are journalists, government officials, leaders of media organizations, representatives of the National Institute for Strategic Studies, National Arts Academy, scholars.
