Souspilnist Foundation, with the support of Detector Media and the Independent Media Council, invites journalists from the country’s Kyiv-based and regional newsrooms to participate in the School of Strategic Communications and Anti-Fake that will be held online on July 18.
The event’s participants will learn how to combat information manipulations, aggressive disinformation and fake news, avoid being trapped by a vast array of news, verify promptly and correctly the information from open sources, and identify the virus campaigns by bot farms and trolls.
The School’s lecturers will be well-known Ukrainian journalists and experts who will help the participants learn to make correct editorial decisions during the course of their daily journalistic work.
The event will be held as part of the Media Literacy University and includes a series of training workshops on digital security culture, fact-checking and manipulative influences.
The School of Strategic Communications and Anti-Fake also aims to promote the development of quality journalism in Ukraine, implement media innovations and collaboration experience exchange between journalists and newsmakers through a partnership dialogue at the national and regional levels.
Participation is free of charge.
