Not shying away from difficult questions

Behind every important message heard across the country are people, decisions, and responsibility. A special guest at the forum was Dmytro Lytvyn, Communications Adviser to the President of Ukraine. During the discussion, he did not shy away from difficult questions and shared his perspective on the role of communications during wartime, the challenges of today’s information environment, and the importance of trust between the state, the media, and society.

The conversation sparked considerable interest among the audience. Participants asked many questions about the preparation of the President’s addresses, communication during international meetings, and the shaping of key narratives for Ukraine.

Dmytro Lytvyn said: “There can be no communication for the sake of communication, just as there can be no speeches for the sake of speeches. Without a clear purpose, there is no need for an address. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the President’s addresses were important because they showed people that the state continued to function, that all necessary processes were underway, and that the President was responding quickly to the issues concerning society. Today, every visit and every act of communication must bring tangible value to Ukraine, because our task is to continuously demonstrate Ukraine’s importance in the world.”

We thank Dmytro for the dynamic exchange, his candid answers, and the meaningful conversation.
