Enhancing the media literacy of Ukrainians in wartime requires effective intersectoral cooperation and coordination of current programs. This was discussed during a partnership meeting organized by the “Filter” National Media Literacy Project at the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy. According to Dmytro Tuzov, the head of media expertise at the Souspilnist Foundation, the resilience of Ukrainians to disinformation and manipulation is crucial for protecting the state. According to him, it is now essential to thoughtfully and carefully implement initiatives to combat fake content and creatively apply new technologies for developing media literacy, especially in the youth environment.
He also emphasized that involving journalists in promoting media literacy is a key component in implementing the national strategy to combat disinformation, so it is important to initiate and develop opportunities for cooperation between the expert community and the media, as exemplified by the Antithesis program section on NV Radio and the training modules of the Media Mobility Hub program. The meeting also discussed the preparation of planned initiatives and activities during the Global Media Literacy Week.
