To help journalists work confidently even in the most challenging conditions, it is worth applying for support from the International Fund for Journalists’ Insurance!
This collaboration has already proven its effectiveness — thanks to it, hundreds of Ukrainian journalists have received real protection while working in high-risk areas.
The program is intended for representatives of independent Ukrainian media (journalists, camera operators, fixers, and photographers) who:
– Travel on official assignments to combat zones, de-occupied territories, or frontline areas.
– Have their own protective equipment (helmet and body armor).
– Adhere to the Code of Journalistic Ethics.
Priority is given to those who have completed safety trainings and first aid courses.
The International Fund for Journalists’ Insurance (IFJI) is a unique example of professional solidarity that enables media professionals to work in war zones with guaranteed financial protection.

In March, we continued supporting media professionals working on assignments in frontline and high-risk regions.
This month:
— 55 applications were submitted, 54 of which have already been approved;
— 27 journalists were insured for a total of 149 insurance days;
— 7 media outlets joined the insurance program: Суспільне Мовлення, Ворскла, United24, Український свідок, hromadske, Слідство.Інфо, and Ukraïner.
These numbers reflect trust and responsibility. They represent journalists who travel closer to events every day so that all of us can better understand what is happening.
